The goal of the project was to design an iOS and Android app that allows users to track their workout sessions and share results with friends.
My Contributions
The idea started with a logo design project I did for a client who came up with the name Charge Athletics. I designed the logo, but the company never launched. Years later, I decided to expand on the project, creating the app idea and marketing materials you see here.
Who what and why
I wanted to create a tool for people who exercise that did a few things. Track your heart rate, distance, calories burned, and type of workout. This allows people to compare and contrast their routines, thus improving they way they work.
Defining The Flow
After I defined the functions of the app, I created a flowchart of the design.
After defining the flow and various sub screens, I continued by creating wireframes to explore the user experience in more detail. The challenge here was deciding how much or how little information to show on the graphs without overwhelming the user.
Logo Design
For the logo, I created some rough sketches and explored a bunch of different options. I narrowed it down to a few and presented them, all inspired by their values centered around the idea of fitness. After that process, I arrived at a final design.
Putting it all together
After the logo was complete, I proceeded to create the final UI, integrating the branding and color scheme into the app. View the interactive prototype
Marketing
A website and marketing copy was needed to promote the app. I started by creating a few style variations for the landing page.
Final Website
Once the landing page was decided, I created the rest of the pages. The challenge was making a desktop version of the dashboard. View all website screens
